Background
atama and the Tianmuli creative team developed a mug project around Shun Sasaki's playful vehicle drawings. The packaging needed to preserve the warmth and precision of the original artwork while protecting a ceramic object in transit.
Art Translated into Structure
A compact corrugated carton gives the mug practical protection and enough printable area for the illustration to wrap around the pack. The simple cube keeps the visual language clear from every angle.

The structural format lets the artwork move continuously across the box panels.
Colour with Graphic Precision
Four-colour and spot-colour printing reproduce the red, blue, green and yellow blocks with clean edges and strong separation. The result retains the lively rhythm of the original drawing.

Controlled colour matching keeps every geometric element crisp and distinct.
Finished Packaging
Textured face paper adds a quiet tactile layer while the white corrugated core provides strength. Together they make the finished pack feel closer to a collectible design object than a standard shipping carton.

Outcome
Protective packaging with gallery energy.
The final mug box balances transport performance with a colourful, art-led identity that extends the product experience before the object is revealed.
